Birthdays and beaches
Hello everybody!
I had a really lovely birthday this year, just for a change! I moved into my new serviced apartment, and I can’t tell you what a relief that has been… to finally be able to have my own place and unpack all my stuff properly, knowing that I’ll be there at least 6 months. It was a really nice thing to be able to do on my birthday. I had a really easy shift at work (no teaching, just placement testing last week), and went out for dinner with a load of teachers from work and also Josh, Stacey and their friend/colleague Joe. It was a really lovely day and it was made even more special by a phone call to my parents. (Well, and the bunch of roses I received was also a big highlight!! :D) Lots of lovely pressies and cards and emails from people, so thank you very much for thinking of me and making the effort to get in touch across the miles… it meant a lot
Before my birthday, a few friends and I went to Ngwe Saung for a long weekend. It was absolutely the most unbelievable place I’ve ever seen… total tropical paradise. It was a life-changing experience in some ways but it will sound a bit stupid if I write about it on here! However… the pictures from the beach, and also some pictures from ‘George’s Life in Burma’ are now on my photo gallery, so please feel free to have a look and leave comments etc :) ![]()
General photo gallery link is on the right, or you can just click here!
I might also be adopting 2 puppies, and pictures will be available soon, but I need help naming one of them!!
Hope everyone is okay… Enjoy the piccies!
