Blame Facebook
For my lack of blogging, that is. It’s addictive.
Well I’m off work with another stomach bug. Fortunately this time it’s not as major as it was at Christmas - don’t have the nausea so much today, which makes a big difference. Should be back at work tomorrow, fingies crossed!
The house is great - the landlady made the fridge cold again and the monster turned out to [probably] be a cat. Had another power cut last night, maybe 40 mins or so? Not too bad… bloody hot though. Thank god dial-up internet still works in our house when there’s no power!
What else is new… erm, went to an ELT conference at the hotel behind my house on Saturday… learned some interesting stuff and it was very useful. I wanted to go yesterday as well but my digestive system had other ideas!! I made it to the hotel but after twenty minutes of sitting with a cup of green tea, I decided I was being an idiot and went home again.
I’ll have a temporary house guest for 2 months after tonight - looking after a friend’s kitten while she’s away on holiday for the summer. Should be fun :) My own housemate has also gone away for 2 months so it’ll be quiet around here.
