Please don’t forget about Burma…
Not easy to watch, but this video is a good reminder of the horrors which happened only 4 months ago here.
We haven’t forgotten, even if the media has, and the UN doesn’t give a sh*t. Please don’t forget either.

Last weekend a bunch of us took a little van up to Moyingyi Wildlife Sanctuary overnight. We played charades, took a sunset boat ride onto the lake, had a barbecue and got up at the crack of dawn to watch the sun rise over the lake on our second boat ride.
It was a really pleasurable trip and was so lovely to be reminded how beautiful Burma is, especially once you leave Yangon and hit the gorgeous countryside.

So I’d only been back in Burma about 3 hours, was sitting outside having some ice-cream and heard a bomb go off just down the road.
Welcome back George ![]()
This is a link for a petition to 10 Downing Street to allow endometriosis to be a recognised chronic debilitating illness. The petition’s end date is 18th January 2008
Quote from site:
“Endometriosis is a severe, chronic, extremely painful, debilitating disease yet it is not being recognized by benefits services. There is no cure. Women are left debilitated with pain and are unable to carry out normal daily tasks in many many cases, let alone hold down a job. We are asking the government to make new guidelines for endometriosis sufferers, especially those being assessed for Disability Living Allowance.”

Thank you!
That’s the main message I suppose.
I’m mostly having good times at home. Trying to get some rest but not managing to do that very well, due to being rather busy catching up with some family and friends.
My NYE involved a ‘Wild West’ theme night at Jason’s local pub, which was good fun, although I think it could be agreed that the Blues band, whilst good at what they did, were not the ideal choice for NYE… Oh well, the food was great (Well done Hind’s Head in Aldermaston!) and the staff were on form as usual :) So all in all it was a good night, and it was definitely an improvement on last year. Good to spend some time with J as well.
I have also managed to find myself a copy of ‘Endometriosis for Dummies’ so my mum and I are trying to educate ourselves even further. I’ll be seeing a gynaecologist on Monday to get a second opinion on my treatment and to hopefully have a few questions answered.
I have also made a couple of decisions about my future but won’t publish them on here just yet. Nothing groundbreaking or anything
So, I’d like to wish you all a very Happy New Year and let you know that I hope all my friends and family have a great year in 2008 and stay healthy and happy.
